THE NARROW FABRICS INSTITUTE 
The Narrow Fabrics Institute (NFI) is the industry organization for manufacturers of narrow fabrics.
NFI defines narrow fabrics as textiles that are no more than 12 inches (300 mm) in width and are made by weaving, knitting or braiding fibers or yarns with an edge to prevent raveling.
NFI serves as a central source of information for:
OUR MISSION
NFI's mission is to work on common interests in the narrow fabrics industry.
OUR OBJECTIVES
NFI seeks to:
- Promote in a positive manner the interests of the narrow fabrics industry
- Promote lawful and fair-trade practices, customs and usage
- Generate revenue through the sale of abrasion rods used in ASTM D6770 (Abrasion Resistance of Textile Webbing) and disseminate said revenue towards textile related programs.
- To meet and network at least annually at an IFAI conference and/or another designated location.
